At Greenlane, our customers rely on us to power critical commercial operations, manage sensitive fleet data, and deliver reliable infrastructure at scale. That responsibility extends beyond uptime and performance to include how we protect data, manage risk, and hold ourselves accountable behind the scenes.

That’s why we’re proud to share that we have successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 2 audit, covering the period from December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025.

This achievement marks a major milestone in our security and compliance journey and reflects the substantial work our team has done to meet rigorous, independently verified standards.

What This Means and Why It Matters

SOC (System and Organization Controls) reports are widely recognized frameworks developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). They evaluate how companies design, implement, and operate controls that protect customer data and system integrity.

Greenlane is now both:

  • SOC 1 compliant, which we have maintained for some time and focuses on controls relevant to financial reporting
  • SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliant, which evaluates controls related to security over an extended period of time

SOC 2 Type 2 is particularly meaningful because it doesn’t just assess whether controls exist on paper. It validates that those controls are operating effectively, day in and day out, across real-world conditions. An independent auditor examined our systems, policies, and practices over nearly a full year and confirmed that our security controls were suitably designed and consistently executed.

This certification confirms that we are buttoned up, disciplined, and operating in a highly compliant manner when it comes to data protection and security.

Raising the Bar for Commercial EV Charging

Commercial EV charging sits at the intersection of infrastructure, software, fleet operations, and energy systems. That complexity makes security and compliance even more critical, and, historically, less common.

To our knowledge, Greenlane is among the first, if not the first, commercial EV charging providers to achieve SOC 2 Type 2 compliance for a fleet charging platform. We didn’t pursue this certification because it was easy or expected. We pursued it because we believe this level of rigor should be standard for infrastructure that fleets depend on every day.

This certification demonstrates that we hold ourselves to a higher bar, not just to meet customer requirements, but to lead by example in a rapidly evolving industry.

Built for Scale, Built on Trust

SOC 2 Type 2 compliance reflects how we operate across our organization. It encompasses how we manage access controls, monitor systems, respond to incidents, train employees, assess risk, and continuously improve our security posture over time. It reinforces that protecting customer data and platform integrity is not a one-time project, but an ongoing discipline embedded into how we build and operate.

For our customers and partners, this means greater confidence that Greenlane is a trusted, enterprise-ready platform built to support long-term growth. For our team, it’s validation of the careful, intentional work happening every day to keep our systems secure.

As we continue expanding Greenlane’s charging network and platform capabilities, this milestone is both a point of pride and a foundation we’ll continue to build on. Security, safety, and trust aren’t checkboxes for us,they’re core to how we operate and how we show up for the fleets counting on us.
